FAQs

What Is Worlds Undiscovered?
This is my hobby site where I post Computer Generated Images. For over two decades I have created digital art at work and CGI for my own personal enjoyment. Distant lands and undiscovered worlds, that’s where my imagination takes me. I’m not particularly proud of any of these images, but I post them online to force myself to become a better artist.

How long does it take to create these images?
I am married with one child and work 40+ hours a week, so this hobby is what I do in my limited spare time. I use my personal computer to create these scenes. Time spent on artwork is split between putting the objects into the scene and rendering the final image. It mostly depends on how complex the scene is, variables such as the number of reflections, polygon count, and volumetric light come in to play.

How long have you been creating these?
I have been creating CGI art since the early 2000’s! It’s been my hobby now for over two decades.

How do you create these pictures?
My earliest works back in 2001 were created with Bryce and Poser. Really amateur stuff. Then I started to formally study CGI around 2002 with 3D Studio Max. I was amazed at how powerful that program could be. I have created everything from underwater scenes with animated water to a video of cloning cells. I’ve been using Photoshop for more than 20 years now, so when I want to enhance colors or make some variation to a scene, I’ll use that for some post-render finishing touches.

Thanks for taking a look!
